This is the monitor for someone who wants smooth gaming without spending a ton. It's 27 inches with a curve that wraps the edges toward you — subtle enough you stop noticing after an hour, but it makes games feel a bit more immersive. The screen refreshes 170 times per second, so motion looks fluid in fast games, and the VA panel gives you genuinely dark blacks when scenes get dim.
The trade-off is slightly blurrier motion compared to pricier screens. Fast-moving objects can leave faint trails, so competitive shooter players might notice it, but for most people playing story games or RPGs it's not a deal-breaker. Colors are decent but not punchy — fine for gaming, less ideal if you're trying to edit photos.
The HDR label is mostly decoration. It'll accept an HDR signal but the picture won't actually look brighter or more vibrant than regular content.
