This is the monitor you get when you want something better than 1080p without spending flagship money. It's 27 inches at 1440p resolution — sharper than most laptop screens, with enough space to see more of your game or fit a couple windows side by side. The 165Hz refresh rate means motion stays smooth in fast games, a big step up from the 60Hz most work monitors offer.
KTC isn't a household name, which is how they keep the price down. The picture quality is solid IPS — decent viewing angles, colors that look fine out of the box — but you won't get the factory color tuning or premium build Dell or LG charge extra for. Pixels respond quickly enough that you won't see blurry trails in shooters.
The HDR sticker doesn't do much here — it's the kind that checks a marketing box but doesn't make the picture pop. Treat this as a regular bright display and you'll get what you pay for.
