This is the affordable way into sharper-than-1080p gaming if you don't need a big screen. At 24 inches, it's the size most people use at a desk without moving their head around, and 1440p resolution means games and text look noticeably crisper than regular HD without needing a monster graphics card to run them.
The 165Hz refresh (how smooth motion looks) puts it in gaming territory — fast enough that shooters and racing games feel fluid instead of choppy. Pixels switch fast enough to keep up, so you won't see blurry trails behind moving objects. Colors are decent for an IPS panel at this price, though it won't blow you away.
The HDR sticker on the box doesn't mean much here. It's called HDR but doesn't really pop — treat it like a regular bright screen and you'll be fine.
