This is the oddball that punches above its price tag. Mini LED means hundreds of tiny backlight zones that dim independently, so when a game shows a bright explosion against a dark sky, the brightness is actually where it should be instead of bleeding everywhere. Combined with HDR1000 — which means genuinely bright highlights — you get real HDR instead of the fake stuff most monitors slap on the box.
The screen refreshes 240 times per second, which is overkill for most games but makes even slower-paced stuff feel silky. At 27 inches and 1440p, it's sharper than most laptop screens without being so dense that you squint at text. The VA panel means the picture looks a bit washed out if you view it from the side, but straight-on it's solid.
KOORUI is a budget brand, so expect basic build quality and barebones menus. The picture quality is the whole point here — everything else is functional at best.
