This is HP's version of the popular 27-inch 1440p gaming formula, but they cranked the speed dial higher. At 240 refreshes per second, motion is silky smooth — noticeably more fluid than the usual 144Hz screens, especially in fast shooters where every frame counts. The 27-inch size and resolution combo means games look sharp without making your GPU struggle like 4K would.
The IPS panel gives you good viewing angles and colors that don't shift when you lean back, which matters if you also use this for work between gaming sessions. Pixel response keeps up with the high refresh rate, so you won't see ghost trails behind moving objects.
The HDR badge on the box is mostly decorative — it's called HDR but doesn't really pop like proper HDR does. Treat it as a bright regular screen and it delivers where it matters: smooth, sharp gaming.
