This is the monitor for someone who wants sharp 4K detail and smooth gaming but doesn't want to choose between their PlayStation and their PC. Two HDMI 2.1 ports mean you can plug in both consoles and actually use their 4K 120Hz output — most monitors cheap out and give you old HDMI that caps at 60Hz.
At 28 inches, the 4K resolution means text is crisp and you get more screen space than a 27-inch without needing to sit farther back. The 144Hz refresh (how smooth motion looks) splits the difference between boring 60Hz work screens and overkill 240Hz esports setups — plenty fast for most games without needing a graphics card that costs as much as a used car.
The HDR label is the usual fake kind — it's called HDR but doesn't really pop like a good TV. Treat it as a bright regular screen and it delivers.
