This is the screen you get when you want something bigger than your laptop for gaming but don't want to spend serious money. It's 27 inches, which sounds great until you realize 1080p stretched that wide means the picture isn't as sharp as smaller screens — individual pixels become visible if you sit close. Fine for gaming from a normal distance, less ideal if you're also doing spreadsheet work.
The 165Hz refresh makes motion smooth in games, way better than a regular 60Hz screen, and the IPS panel means colors look decent from any angle. Response time is fast enough that you won't see ghosting trails behind moving objects.
The HDR label is marketing — it doesn't have the brightness or contrast to make HDR content look different from regular video. Treat it as a normal bright screen and you'll be happy with what you paid.
