This is Dell's latest all-in-one work-from-home monitor that does more than the old model. You still get the single-cable laptop connection — plug in one Thunderbolt cable and your laptop charges, shows picture, connects to the internet, and links to any accessories plugged into the monitor. No separate power brick, no cable mess.
The screen is 27 inches at 4K, so text is sharp and you can stack windows side by side comfortably. Colors are factory-tuned and accurate enough for photo work. What's new is 120Hz motion (twice as fast as typical work screens) and better HDR — not theater-quality but bright enough that highlights in videos and photos actually stand out instead of looking flat. The blacks are deeper than regular IPS screens too, so dark scenes don't look washed out.
It's still not a gaming monitor in the competitive sense, but it handles casual games smoothly and looks excellent for everything else you'd do at a desk.
