This is the monitor for someone who works on a laptop and wants a clean desk. Plug a single USB-C cable in and your laptop gets power, picture, and any USB stuff attached to the monitor — no separate charger, no dongle pile. That's the whole pitch.
The screen is 27 inches at 4K, which means text is razor-sharp and you can fit lots of windows side by side without squinting. Dell uses an IPS Black panel here, which is just a better version of the usual office monitor screen — darker blacks when you're watching a movie, but mostly it means the picture looks crisp and even. They tune the colors at the factory, so what you see is genuinely accurate without you touching any settings.
It's not a gaming screen. The image refreshes 60 times a second, which is fine for typing and watching shows but feels sluggish in fast games. There's an ethernet port built in, so your laptop can grab a wired internet connection through that same cable.
