This monitor exists for one reason: winning in fast competitive games where every millisecond counts. It refreshes 500 times per second, which sounds excessive until you're playing at that level and realize how much smoother tracking enemies becomes. Combined with near-instant pixel response, there's basically no blur when you whip the camera around.
The trade-off is sharpness. At 24.5 inches and 1080p, the picture is less crisp than most modern screens — fine in the heat of a match, but you'll notice jagged edges on desktop text. This is a tool for serious competitive gaming, not an all-around monitor.
The HDR label here is meaningless, just ignore it. What matters is the speed, and this delivers more of it than almost any screen you can buy.
