If you're upgrading from a basic office screen or a laptop and don't want to spend much, this gets you into proper gaming territory without overthinking it. It's a 24-inch screen running at 1080p, which means games don't need an expensive graphics card to run well, and the picture refreshes 165 times per second so motion looks smooth instead of stuttery.
The screen is IPS, which just means colors look consistent whether you're sitting straight on or off to the side — handy if you watch shows with someone else or glance at it from across the room. Pixels switch fast enough that you won't see blurry trails in shooters or racing games.
The HDR label here doesn't do much — it's called HDR but doesn't really pop like an OLED or high-end screen would. Treat it as a regular bright display and you'll be happy with what you get.
