This is ASUS's monitor for people who edit photos or videos and need the colors to look right. It ships factory-calibrated, meaning someone already tuned it so reds are actually red and skin tones don't shift weird — not something you usually get without spending an hour in menus. The 4K resolution on 27 inches makes text crisp and gives you room to stack editing timelines and toolbars without everything feeling cramped.
The USB-C port does what you want for a clean desk: plug your laptop in once and it charges (up to 65 watts, enough for most laptops), shows the picture, and connects any USB drives or accessories plugged into the monitor. There's also regular HDMI and DisplayPort if you've got a desktop PC or need to switch between machines.
It's a work screen, not a gaming one. 60Hz refresh means motion looks standard, which is fine for editing or watching shows but won't impress you in fast games.
