This is the cheapest way to get smooth motion on a big screen. At 27 inches it's roomy, and the 144Hz refresh (how smooth motion looks) makes fast games feel way better than a basic 60Hz office monitor. Pixels respond fast enough that you won't see trails behind moving objects.
The catch is resolution. At 1080p stretched across 27 inches, text and details look a bit chunky up close — like looking at your phone from too far away. For gaming it's totally playable, but if you sit close or do a lot of reading, you'll notice it's not as crisp as smaller 1080p screens or higher-res monitors.
It's got older ports including VGA, which means it'll work with whatever you have lying around, but don't expect modern perks like USB-C or fancy color tuning.
