This is the cheapest way to get legitimately smooth gaming on a big screen. It refreshes 165 times a second, which makes fast games feel way more responsive than a regular 60Hz monitor, and the 27-inch size gives you room to see what's happening without sitting inches from the display.
The trade-off is sharpness. At 1080p stretched across 27 inches, text and desktop icons look a bit chunky compared to smaller screens or higher-resolution monitors — you'll notice it scrolling through web pages or spreadsheets. In games it's less obvious because you're focused on motion, not reading menus. The VA panel gives deeper blacks than most budget screens, so dark scenes in games don't look washed out.
The HDR label doesn't do much here — called HDR but doesn't really pop. Treat it like a regular bright display and you'll be fine.
